personally, i do believe that having access to facebook on a comeputer effects grades. facebook effects grades especially when you are in a class and you are suppose to be writing a report on a something for your teacher and you are getting distracted by facebook. there are alot of students who have a hard time paying attention. there are many students who cannot control themselves and limit their time to which they think is appropriate to use facebook. im noot going to lie from experience, i have been in a curious mode and just wanting to read statuses and see what i have gotten as a message or comment. it gets really addicting for some students though. that is why i would reccommend that a teacher should have like a cerain device that shows every single students page and what they are doing on the teachers computer. so that way the student gets inmidated and is less likely to go in facebook when they no the teacher can see what they are doing through their computer. so i believe that this method would help imrprove grades greatly. im not saying to block facebook. ultimately its depend on whether the indivisuall student is mature or immature. the student will stilll have an oppoutunity to go on facebook in their own time, like for example they could go on faceboook during their down time. the author of the
article said ; "Students who use Facebook and hit the books simultaneously found their multitasking led to 20% lower grades than those of their more focused peerstheir study, and when the student has down time. "
