WHAT NOT TO POST ON FACEBOOK

i agree that you shouldnt put your full birthday date on facebook. i feel like that is kind of creepy. i put my birthday but not the year. i definately agree with beth givens when she said that givimg your date of birth and the place you were born at is like giving your financial security. in a way i think that is extremely true. there are many crazy theives and kidnappers out there. i feel like facebook users should know this information because it is important. One thing i found interesting  was researchers being able to discover thatt they could reconstruct social security numbers using an individual's birthday and place of birth. i did not know that your mother’s maiden name was an important peice of information because it is often the answer to security questions on many sites. i also learned that credit card companies, wireless service providers, and other firms often rely on this to protect personal information. i think it is sooo dumb to post up what your address is and where you live unless it is for a business matter. also i dont think that it is important for a persons  facebook freinds should post unnesessary things as their status. like for example posting when you will be away from home . especially when you dont know every single one of your freinds on facebook. i think that is rediculous. you also should not put your cell phone number down in the info section because it is not everyones business unless it is a business page.

Will Richardson's TED Talk

i think that it is amazing that his daughter tess learned Journey from youtube. that is just amazing that she surprised her father like that. that just goes to show that internet is very imporatant. the internet is very important because it gives people who love to learn an oppurtunity to learn at anytime of the day. i agree with will when he said that it is a pretty cool opputunity to be a learner right now. kids can learn anything they would like and they dont need to wait for a curriculum to learn about what they are interested in. now a days the internet make some things that may have seemed impossible before possible now. the internet access goes from making a name for people, to making money for people, and to changing peoples views on certain things you believe in. youtube is not just for fun and looking up music videos but also for educational and learning puposes aswell. i think that it is imporatnt for children to have a computer with access to the internet.

Being Safe Online Is Being Safe In Life

i think it is very important for kids safe online. if you post anything online that is inappropriate, it can follow you for the rest of your life. i dont think anyone would ever want to live in regret after they have posted something that is horrible for the world to see on the internet. posting things on the internet can either make your reputation or break your reputation. so i agree that being safe online is definately being safe in life. it affects whether or not you get a job in the future. what you do is what you are. i think that since kids use facebook soo much that schools should teach them how to set their security settings up.  i dont thiink that adults or children should ever put up personal information such as , their adress phone number and where they work unless the person is using facebook for business matters

earthquake in japan

wow i feel sooo sorry for all those lives lost in japan. i understand how hard it was for those people in japan to go through this. soo many lost loved ones. this makes me so sad. people in america lost their family in japan. this reminds me of what my family went through when the earthquake in haiti occured. so i can really relate to this. i wish the best to all the japanese and the people in america that has been affected by this. i dont think any country deserves this horrible tragedy to happen. many innocent lives were lost all i can say is that my prayers are with the people in pain, the people in need, and the families who has lost their precious ones. the earthquake was at  8.9 and it triggered a Tsunami Alert. this also threatened the whole pacific. i got to watch the earthquake and tsunami happen on this website , it is very clear check it out , crazzzy stuff . >>>> http://bit.ly/eYJSxM

angela maiers

i think that it is amazing that angela got to get a job. she increased her business through social media. i appreciate that our web 2.0 class got to see a teacher all the way from Iowa  on skype to talk to us about furthering our education about the world of social media and how it could help us. there are many benefits towards social media. one of the benefits is that you can find a job, another one is that you could make a name for yourself, and the third one is that you could increase your clientele significantly just by simmply blogging and saying what things your business offers or what you will offer on social media. i am greatful for getting the opputunity to hear what excellent things angela had to say. the internet is a great source of learning and mr larkin taught me this and i realized that skype is a amazing for learning. i love that through social media you could learn anytime of the day when ever you want. angela taught a class at ten at night to people around the world, that is beyond great . :)

ipad 2 is finally out! :)

the ipad 2 comes with camera-focused apps like FaceTime, iMovie, and Photo Booth. Available in both black and white colors. It is thinner and nicer. it is very fast. You can rent a movie on your iPad and watch it on your television. in order to do this you need a tiny cable that plugs in to the the 30-pin connector on one end and has an HDMI connection on the other. i think it is very cool that burlington high is going to have this amazing technology next year. ipad will be great and less weight on your shoulders. i would pick and ipad over books any day. there is an ipad smart cover aswell which doesnt make it look or feel really bulky. this ipad covers 10 hours of battery. it is also lighter. there is a camera at the top of the ipad and it has facetime. its >>>>>>>>>>>> great it is 15% smaller than the regular ipad. it is comming march 11 and it is the same price as the last ipad $499.00. you can start a video call with your best friend through the ipad. i think it is easier than actually picking up a phone. there is also a camera on the ipad. it has a dual core A5 chip , so therefore it is two times faster. you can gameplay on the iPad2 and it is even smoother and more realistic.
